SHOUT OUT: Lodi police had their third Narcan save — and second in less than three weeks — after reviving an 18-year-old overdosing heroin user from Pennsylvania in a service station restroom last night.
Officers Philip Nobile, Joseph Lanfrank, Nicholas Nobre and Sgt. Anthony Mobilio responded to the 9:30 p.m. call from the Wawa gas station on Essex Street, Detective Capt. Donald Scorzetti said this morning.
“The caller reported that the victim had ingested heroin approximately 15 minutes prior to [their] arrival,” Scorzetti said.
A first dose administered by Nobile had no effect, but a second about five minutes later brought her around, the captain said.
She was “still in a sedated state,” however, he said.
The Lodi Volunteer Ambulance Rescue squad took her to Hackensack University Medical Center.
