Gov. Christie on Monday signed into law a roadside memorial sign program for fallen police, firefighters and EMS workers killed in the line of duty.
“Patrolman Joseph Wargo’s Law” directs the state Department of Transportation to develop the program to recognize the sacrifices of first responders.
It was named for Mount Arlington Police Officer Joseph Wargo, who was killed when his cruiser was struck head-on by a vehicle operated by a drunk driver on Route 80 in October 2011. READ MORE….
